    Fashion-forward children's footwear brand Akid (donned by the little ones of Kanye and Kim Kardashian West, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Kate Hudson and Charlize Theron; designed to fit kids aged 2 to 8 years old) has teamed up with actress and mom Jaime King on a new capsule line. The seven Akid x Jaime King shoe styles ($80 to $90, adorned with pom-poms, faux fox tails and hangtags designed by King’s sons, four-year-old James Knight and two-year-old Leo Thames) landed at akidbrand.com today.

  • Cushnie et Ochs Handbags Arrive at Intermix

    New York-based fashion designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs (whose designs are donned by Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lopez, Gal Gadot and Kerry Washington) are moving into accessories. A new line of five handbags, $595 to $1695, hits select Intermix stores, intermixonline.com and cushnieetochs.com next Wednesday, Oct. 25; for spring 2018, the company is also adding footwear, available now for pre-order at cushnieetochs.com.

  • International Vintage Watch Company Adds Brick & Mortar

    L.A.-based International Vintage Watch Company (IVWC), one of the largest pre-owned watch dealers in the U.S. that has until now only sold its collectible tickers online, has debuted its first store in downtown Los Angeles. The company is known for carrying rare models by luxury Swiss and Japanese brands, such as Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Piaget, Audemars Piguet, Franck Muller, Breitling, Hublot, Seiko and more that date to the 1930s. Open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Vimmia Opens First Store in Brentwood

    On Tuesday, Oct. 17,the five-year-oldathleisure brand Vimmia (Jessica Alba and Khloe Kardashian are fans) celebrated the opening of its first flagship store in Brentwood. All pieces in the stylish activewear line for men and women (that includes maternity, plus-size, high-performance, and gym-to-street collections) are designed and made in L.A.. In the future, the shop plans to host fitness events.

  • Chiara Boni's Debut U.S. Boutique in L.A.

    On Thursday, Oct. 20, Italian fashion designer Chiara Boni will appear at Saks Fifth Avenue at South Coast Plaza from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for an informal showing of her fall La Petite Robe collection on models, accompanied by refreshments and Saks gift cards with purchases of $250 or more. Boni opened the 10-year-old brand's first U.S. boutique and third global location last month on Melrose Place, joining locations in Milan and Rome; in stock are the complete collection of women’s apparel, evening gowns and jumpsuits, swimwear and accessories as seen on Beyoncé, First Lady Melania Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Cindy Crawford, Alessandra Ambrosio and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

  • The Arrivals Pop-Up Shop

    ChicNew York-based outerwear brand The Arrivals (co-founded by former architect Jeff Johnson and entrepreneurKal Vepuriin 2014) is popping up in L.A. on Saturday, October 21 through December 28. The luxe direct-to-consumer line counts Kourtney Kardashian as a client and includes women’s, men’s and unisex designs that range from $225 denim jackets and nylon bombers to $1295 suede-and-shearling parkas. There are also caps, gloves, crewneck sweatshirts, and scarves ($85-$145). In addition, the pop-up store will feature exclusive collaborative products designed with Byborre, Vuarnet, Instrmnt and Atelier Yul, along with select items from Bang & Olufsen, Cult Gaia, Westward Leaning, and Tokyobike. Open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Erica Tanov Opens L.A. Store

    San Francisco designer Erica Tanov quietly opened her first L.A. boutique and third U.S. store — the others are based in Berkeley and Marin, California — last Sunday, Oct. 15 at Row DTLA. Beyond the label's line of women's apparel, socks, handbags, wallets, knit scarves and hats, and home accessories (from bedding, wallpaper and table linens to collaborative quilts, furniture and ceramics), the store also offers exclusive art by California artist Emily Payne and a curated mix of apparel, jewelry and footwear by other brands. Open Sundays only in October, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and then every day, beginning on Nov. 1.
