No one believes that Migo has seen a smallfoot.
In the new feature film from Warner Animation Group, Smallfoot, a community of yetis whisper about the existence of “smallfoots” — humans, who earned the "smallfoot" moniker for their tiny feet — as unverified myths. The cinematic twist on the Bigfoot legend follows yeti scientist Migo (Channing Tatum), who sees a parachuting smallfoot for the first time, but when he reports it back to his community, he is met with disdain.
Only when Migo decides to ignore the rest of his community and prove that smallfoots exist once and for all does he stumble on a group of yeti truthers who have amassed evidence to show that humans are real.
Ahead of its Sept. 28 release, take a look at the film’s voice cast below.
-
Channing Tatum as Migo
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Michael Tran/FilmMagic Channing Tatum has become a box-office mainstay after starring in everything from Step Up and Magic Mike to 21 Jump Street and Dear John. In Smallfoot, he goes animated. His character Migo is a yeti scientist who stumbles upon a human in a parachute, the mythic “smallfoot.” But when the rest of the village refuses to believe that he saw a smallfoot, he embarks on a mission to prove that smallfoots are real and winds up involved with a secretive yeti organization called S.E.S. — “Smallfoot Exists, Suckers!”
-
James Corden as Percy
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images James Corden’s CBS late-night show, Late Late Show With James Corden, has become a breakout in large part because of his successful “Carpool Karaoke” series. Coming off hosting the Grammys this year, Corden will play Percy, the human mountain climber who Migo encounters and whose existence alerts Migo to the presence of smallfoots. Corden’s other recent movie credits include Into the Woods and Trolls.
-
Zendaya as Meechee
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Ethan Miller/Getty Images for CinemaCon Zendaya got her start on Disney Channel’s television show Shake It Up (2010-13), and ever since she has become a major Hollywood figure, with roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman. In Smallfoot, her second animated role after Duck Duck Goose, she transforms into Meechee, the leader of the S.E.S. who has collected all of the strangest evidence of human existence, including a roll of toilet paper that she dubs "the scroll of invisible wisdom."
-
Common as Stonekeeper
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Ethan Miller/Getty Images for CinemaCon Common has spent the last few years translating his fame in the hip-hop community into a sprawling acting career, appearing in everything from Suicide Squad to Ava DuVernay’s Selma to the upcoming Black Lives Matter-inspired film The Hate U Give. In his animated film debut, Common takes on the role of Stonekeeper, a yeti elder who immediately doubts Migo’s claims that he has seen a smallfoot.
-
LeBron James as Gwangi
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Jason Miller/Getty Images Basketball legend LeBron James made his big-screen acting debut in Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck (2015), in which he played himself. But in Smallfoot, he tries out his first major fictional role — the character of Gwangi, a yeti member of the S.E.S. that Migo encounters during his quest to prove, once and for all, that humans are real.
James has said in interviews that he can't wait for his 3-year-old daughter to see the film: "She loves, obviously, animated movies. To hear her dad's voice she's going to be kind of weirded out a little bit at first."
-
Gina Rodriguez as Kolka
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Gabe Ginsberg/Getty Images Golden Globe-winning Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez is making a bit move into movies. After voicing animated films Ferdinand and The Star and playing a major character in Annihilation, the fantasy-horror film from Ex Machina's Alex Garland, Rodriguez is playing S.E.S. member Kolka in Smallfoot.
-
Danny DeVito as Dorgle
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Joe Scarnici/Getty Images for Vulture Festival Famous for his roles in Matilda and Throw Momma from the Train, Danny DeVito is breaking from his role as the manipulative Frank Reynolds in TV show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to lend his iconic voice to local yeti Dorgle.
-
Yara Shahidi as Brenda
Image Credit: Courtesy of Warner Bros.; Steve Granitz/WireImage Breakout Black-ish actress Yara Shahidi has seen her star rise with the release of the show’s spinoff show, Grown-ish, and in Smallfoot, she’ll play a human named Brenda who shocks Migo and the rest of the cast of disconcerted yetis.

Jimmy Tatro as Thorp
