Nineties nostalgia is real, as the first trailer to the upcoming Power Rangers film reboot takes the lead spot of the Top Movie Trailers Chart this week.
The trailer racked up 28.3 million global views in the week ending Jan. 22, according to video technology company ZEFR. The report prioritizes trailers based on overall view counts on YouTube, combining a sum of official and fan trailer uploads.
The film stars Bryan Cranston as mentor Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as villain Rita Repulsa, and a younger cast (including Becky G) portraying the titular superheroes.
Following Power Rangers on the Top Movie Trailers Chart is the second trailer for Logan, the latest in the Marvel Comics film series about X-Men character Wolverine. The Hugh Jackman-starring flick’s trailer earned 18.8 million views during the tracking frame, after also premiering Jan. 19.
