Jake Tapper retains the No. 1 spot on The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Personalities chart for the third week in a row and eighth week in all, leaping 85 percent in overall social metrics to rule the Nov. 7-dated list.

The Top TV Personalities chart is a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. TV personalities are defined here as performers primarily known for their appearances on their own TV series, including hosts of entertainment/news shows. The latest tracking week ended Nov. 7.

Tapper yet again scores major social media boosts after quote-tweeting President Donald Trump and thanking him “for watching CNN”; Tapper initially led the list last month due to such a tweet.

Trevor Noah is the chart’s top re-entry, vaulting back onto the list at No. 3. He’s joined by Steve Harvey, who returns to the tally at No. 9.
