Trevor Noah rules The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Personalities chart for the first time, leading Jake Tapper and Mike Huckabee on the Aug. 1-dated list.

The Top TV Personalities chart is a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. TV personalities are defined here as performers primarily known for their appearances on their own TV series, including hosts of entertainment/news shows. The latest tracking week ended July 24.

Stephen Colbert and Lawrence O'Donnell follow Noah, Tapper and Huckabee in the top five.

Queer Eye stars Jonathan Van Ness and Karamo Brown, meanwhile, make their chart debuts at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Noah takes his first week at No. 1 on Top TV Personalities thanks to a July 18 Facebook video of him responding to French Ambassador to the U.S. Gerard Araud’s complaint about Noah congratulating Africa on France’s victory in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It garnered 212,000 shares and 167,000 likes.
