Tyra Banks' BTS Posts Land Her Back at No. 1 on Top TV Personalities Social Media Ranking
The chart ranks the most popular TV personalities based on data from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus.

Tyra Banks vaults back to No. 1 on The Hollywood Reporter's Top TV Personalities chart, jumping 4-1 on the Sept. 26-dated list to take over the top spot from Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness.
The Top TV Personalities chart is a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex. The chart's methodology blends social engagement on the platforms along with weekly additions of followers/subscribers. TV personalities are defined here as performers primarily known for their appearances on their own TV series, including hosts of entertainment/news shows. The latest tracking week ended Sept. 18.
Van Ness, meanwhile, falls to No. 2, where he's joined by co-star Antoni Porowski in the top three.
Anderson Cooper returns to the chart, re-entering at No. 7 following his coverage of Hurricane Florence in the southeastern United States.

In addition to a bump in mentions on Twitter while contributing to CNN's Hurricane Florence coverage over the weekend, Cooper scored a much-retweeted tweet responding to Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet about a 2008 photo in which Cooper was shown in deep floodwater while his crew was on higher ground nearby, implying that the shot was created to lie about actual flood conditions. "What are the chances @DonaldTrumpJr apologizes for lying about me?," Cooper tweeted, accompanying a video rebutting the president's son's claim. Trump later claimed he was merely referencing CNN's "dwindling ratings."

Banks notches her 12th week at No. 1 on the chart and first since June 27. She, like James Corden before her, was a benefactor of the BTS effect, with her Sept. 12 posts with the K-pop boyband after its appearance on America's Got Talent helping her to a 322 percent boost in Twitter likes to 1.2 million total.
