Directed by Kelly Asbury and based on the plush toy line by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, UglyDolls is an animated musical about embracing who you are and celebrating what makes you different.

Moxy (Kelly Clarkson) and her friends reside in Uglyville, a place where imperfect dolls go after being discarded by The Factory. But when Moxy decides to venture into The Big World and find her perfect kid, she and her friends encounter the perfect — and mean — preppy doll, Lou (Nick Jonas). Told by Lou that they're too ugly to be wanted, Moxy and her friends work to prove Lou wrong, and discover the beauty in individuality.

Alongside Clarkson and Jonas, Janelle Monáe stars as the lonely and sympathetic perfect doll Mandy, Blake Shelton voices Uglyville's mayor and mentor Ox, Wanda Sykes is the culinary mastermind Wage and Pitbull is Moxy's closest friend, Ugly Dog.

She’s currently serving as a judge on NBC’s The Voice, and her next project is voicing the character of Delta Dawn in Trolls World Tour, the sequel to DreamWorks’ Trolls.

Last seen on the big screen in the 2017 Jumanji reboot alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan, this year Jonas has already reunited with his brothers to release new Jonas Brothers music. But later in 2019, he'll also reprise his role as Alex for the currently untitled Jumanji sequel.

Lydia (Lizzo), Tuesday (Bebe Rexha) and Kitty (Charli XCX) are the voices behind the SpyGirls trio, a group of perfect dolls. UglyDolls serves as Lizzo's big-screen debut, and comes on the heels of the singer's third studio album release, Cuz I Love You. The film will also serve as a cinematic first for Rexha, who made her television debut in Fox’s A Christmas Story Live! before releasing her latest studio album Expectations last year. For Charli XCX, who dropped her fourth mixtape Pop 2 in 2017, UglyDolls marks the second time the singer has voiced a big-screen character after playing Willow in the 2016 Angry Birds Movie.
