Kendrick Lamar took home the award for video of the year at 2017 Video Music Awards, which were handed out Sunday night on MTV.
The rapper also won best hip-hop video for "HUMBLE" at the show, which was held at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Katy Perry hosted the ceremony, for which the award — previously known as the Moon Man — has been rechristened as the Moon Person in a bid for gender neutrality.
The cable network, which previously combined performers of both genders in categories for its rebranded Movie & TV Awards, also replaced the best female and best male video awards with one artist of the year prize.
Additionally, MTV added one of the new Movie & TV Awards categories to the VMAs, recognizing, in the best fight against the system category, videos that inspire viewers to fight injustice. All six nominees in that category — presented by the mother of Heathery Heyer, who was killed during the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. — were declared winners.
Heading into the show, Lamar had the most VMA nominations, with eight mentions for his video "Humble." Katy Perry and The Weeknd landed the second-most noms with five each.
A list of winners follows. All the news on the show can be found here.
