ABC Staggers Fall Premiere Dates, 'Suburgatory' Gets Post-'Modern Family' Slot

Cheryl Hines Jeremy Sisto Suburgatory 2011

ABC, like Fox and NBC, stagger its fall premiere dates, bowing new and returning shows starting in September and running through November.

The network will kick off the 2012-13 season on Sept. 14 with the bows of Shark Tank and and What Would You Do and 20/20, and run through October and conclude with the Nov. 2 bows for Last Man Standing, freshman entry Malibu Country. In addition, after sampling rookie entry The Neighbors behind Modern Family, ABC will swap the comedy -- which many have already dubbed this year's Work It -- with Suburgatory.
