ABC Studios International is expanding its global reach.

The Disney-owned studio has signed a worldwide first-look deal with Australian production company Hoodlum Entertainment. Under the pact, ABC Studios International and Hoodlum will develop new content for the global international marketplace, including the U.S. Disney Media Distribution will have international rights across all media for productions as a result of the agreement.

The deal cements the pair's existing partnership following their collaboration on the new drama series Harrow, which is set to film in Australia this year. The project tells the story of brilliant forensic pathologist Dr. Daniel Harrow, who may also be a murderer. The two companies also collaborated previously on the U.S. version of the Australian hit Secrets and Lies.

The venture will be run by ABC Studios International's managing director of international content and talent Keli Lee (based in London), Hoodlum's CEO Tracey Robertson (based out of Disney Studios in Los Angeles) and Hoodlum's CCO Nathan Mayfield (based in Brisbane, Australia).

"This collaboration with Hoodlum is very exciting for us as it marries us to a highly-respected content company with a track record for producing quality programs for worldwide distribution," Lee said in a statement. "This stems from our strong relationship with Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield at Hoodlum Entertainment."
