'The Affair' Season 2 Teaser: Honeymoon Phase Is Over

The Showtime drama, whose second season will be told from four different perspectives instead of two, also debuted new key art.

Paradise is no more for The Affair's leading couple.

The Golden Globe-winning Showtime drama starring Dominic West and Ruth Wilson released a first look at season two, bowing this fall. The nearly two-minute-long clip gives viewers a glimpse of the long-term effects of infidelity, including divorce, regret, lengthy legal battles and angry exes.

"What's the worst thing you've ever done?" Alison (Wilson) asks Noah (West) in the teaser. "This, probably," he replies of their relationship. The show's freshman run played out in a dual-narrative fashion, devoting one half of each episode to Noah's perspective and the other part to Alison's.

The provocative drama, created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, also stars Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson, and the upcoming season will expand its storytelling viewpoints to include their characters' as well. It's unclear how much time each character will have for their telling of events.

The second season also promises to further explore the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings all four of them back together.

The network also debuted new key art for the series, a double-exposure-style image that features Noah and Alison's past lovers in their silhouettes. Check out the teaser and the poster below.
