ABC is keeping American Housewife duo Rick Wiener and Kenny Schwartz under contract.

Writing partners Wiener and Schwartz have renewed their overall deal with American Housewife producers ABC Studios. Under the three-year pact, the pair will create and develop new projects for the studio while continuing to write and exec produce on the ABC comedy. This is their second overall deal.

Wiener and Schwartz met as staff writers on NBC's Mad About You. They went on to create ABC's Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, which starred a young Ryan Reynolds. After the series wrapped its four-season run, they created and exec produced the former WB Network's Do Over before joining Seth MacFarlane's American Dad, where they spent seven seasons. They previously were showrunners on NBC's Guys With Kids and wrote for ABC's Modern Family and Galavant.

They're repped by attorney Rohner and Walerstein; Wiener is additionally with UTA.

American Housewife, created by Sarah Dunn and starring Katy Mixon, is currently in its second season on ABC. The single-camera comedy is expected to return, though ABC has yet to officially renew it.
