TV Ratings: 'America's Got Talent' Hits 3-Month High Tuesday

The final performances on 'AGT' also hit a season high in total viewers.

The next-to-last America's Got Talent of 2018 brought some of the show's best ratings this season.

The final performance episode of the NBC hit scored a three-month high in adults 18-49 with a 2.2 rating. That's up from 1.9 a week ago and is the show's best demo performance since June 19.

AGT also gathered its largest total audience of the season with 12.78 million viewers. Following the show, the special The Paley Center Salutes This Is Us drew a 0.9 in adults 18-49, easily winning the 10 p.m. hour.

The season finale of Beat Shazam on Fox tied its season high in the 18-49 demo with a 0.8. Love Connection ended its season at 0.5, up a tenth of a point week to week.

The only other original program on the broadcast networks Tuesday was the finale of Castaways on ABC. It tied a season low at 0.3.

NBC's 1.8 average in adults 18-49 during primetime nearly beat the combined totals for the other four networks. CBS and Fox tied for second at 0.6. ABC (0.4) finished fourth, and The CW averaged 0.3, pending updates for a preemption in New York City.

NBC also led the 18-49 demo in late night, with The Tonight Show scoring a 0.5 in metered markets to Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s 0.4 and The Late Show's 0.3. At 12:35 a.m., Late Night drew a 0.4 versus. 0.2s for The Late Late Show and Nightline.
