Amy Poehler is officially in business with Adult Swim.

The cable channel has given a series order to Three Busy Debras, a live-action comedy that counts Poehler among its executive producers, via her company Paper Kite. The series order comes a year after Adult Swim ordered a pilot for the show.

Three Busy Debras follows "the surreal day-to-day lives of three deranged housewives, all named Debra, in their affluent suburban town of Lemoncurd, Conn.," per Adult Swim's logline. The series is created and written by Sandy Honig (Isn't It Romantic), Mitra Jouhari (Friends From College, High Maintenance) and Alyssa Stonoha, who also play the title characters.

The trio also executive produce with director Anna Dokoza (Special), Poehler and Paper Kite's Kim Lessing.

"Paper Kite is thrilled to help amplify the bold and bloody voices of the Three Busy Debras," Poehler said when Adult Swim ordered the show's pilot in 2018. "We hope this show makes you feel strange in all the right ways."

Three Busy Debras goes into production later this year; a premiere date hasn't been set. The series is the first Adult Swim show for Poehler and Paper Kite, which count Comedy Central's Broad City, Netflix's Russian Doll and NBC's I Feel Bad and Making It (which also stars Poehler) among its offerings. She also executive produces and stars in Fox's animated series Duncanville, which is set to debut in the 2019-20 season.
