Andrew Garfield and James Corden may be successful actors, but that doesn't mean that they have what it takes to star on Game of Thrones.

During a sketch on Thursday's episode of The Late Late Show, the host and guest jokingly auditioned for the HBO series. The clip opened with Garfield announcing that he was auditioning for the character Jon Snow, who is portrayed by Kit Harington. Clad in a dark curly wig with a sword attached to his hip, Garfield began, "I'm the King of the North."

Corden, who wore the same outfit and wig, critiqued Garfield's accent. The two then repeated the line "I'm King of the North" as they tried to perfect their impressions.

The host next wore a bald cap to audition for Conleth Hill's character Lord Varys. "I want you to know that I will go the extra mile to do this part and do it well," he said as he pulled down his pants and held up a knife.

Garfield auditioned to play Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's character Jaime Lannister next. In addition to wearing a long blonde wig, Garfield had a fake hand. After he explained that he was a method actor, he began to kiss a woman who he claimed was his real sister. The audition scene was a reference to Jaime's intimate relationship with his sister Cersei (Lena Headey).

The actor later appeared as himself to audition for Littlefinger. He decorated his pinky finger with a drawn-on face, crown and cape before the casting director questioned if he had bothered to read the script.

While Corden continued to threaten to cut off his body parts while auditioning for different characters, Garfield sported a red dragon costume. "This is a huge mistake," he said after he was informed that the dragons would be CGI. "No one is going to watch that."

In another audition, the host failed to remember his lines for Kristian Nairn's character Hodor.

The two later joined forces to audition to be The Mountain. Garfield stood on Corden and he declared, "I am The Mountain." In addition to groaning, Garfield swung a sword around during the audition.

Garfield and Corden also auditioned to play Ned Stark (Sean Bean) together. The two reenacted his beheading scene. Dressed in all black, Garfield flailed his arms around while Corden slowly moved his head to make it appear as if it had been cut off of Garfield's body.

The auditions concluded with Corden entering the room completely nude. After he was told that he could not audition for Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), he took off his wig to reveal a shorter blonde wig. "Okay, then. I would like to audition for Cersei Lannister," he said.

Once again, Corden was told that he could not audition for Cersei. "I would like to audition for anyone who gets nude in the show," he said.

Garfield then reentered the room and declared that he would also like to audition for a character that bares it all.

"Shame, shame, shame, shame, shame," the casting director said as the two men slowly made their way out of the room.
