Angela Robinson Inks Paramount TV Overall Deal (Exclusive)

The two-year pact will see the 'L Word' and 'How to Get Away With Murder' writer, director and producer develop new projects for the studio.

Angela Robinson is putting down roots.

The prolific writer, producer and director has inked a two-year overall deal with Paramount Television, marking the latest venture for new studio president Nicole Clemens.

Robinson, whose credits include ABC's How to Get Away With Murder, Showtime's The L Word and HBO's True Blood and Hung, will create, develop and produce new projects for the studio.

"I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Angela at the beginning of her career and am thrilled to be collaborating with her again at Paramount TV,” Clemens said. “She is a supremely talented writer, producer, director whose unique point of view resonates throughout her diverse body of work and we look forward to supporting her vision.”

Robinson's credits include feature work on Professor Marston & The Wonder Women, cult hit D.E.B.S. and Herbie Fully Loaded. On the TV side, she was a consulting producer on Viola Davis vehicle Murder for ABC and exec produced Showtime's groundbreaking The L Word. Robinson currently serves as co-captain of Time's Up Women of Color.

Paramount TV continues to ramp up its scripted roster with high-profile series including George Clooney in Hulu's Catch-22, Amazon's Jack Ryan, Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, Maniac and Haunting of Hill House as well as TNT's The Alienist and its upcoming offshoot.
