FX's Anger Management has found Charlie Sheen's new female foil.

Legally Blonde: The Musical's Laura Bell Bundy has joined the cast as a new series regular, producers Lionsgate Television announced Monday.

Bundy will play Charlie's new sex-study research partner, Dr. Jordan Denby. The character is described as a brilliant psychologist whose recent divorce, fondness for alcohol and wild mood swings turn Charlie's life into an emotional roller-coaster. The role initially was conceived as a recurring part with series regular option.

The Tony nominee, who originated the role of Elle Woods in the Broadway adaptation of the Reese Witherspoon feature, replaces Selma Blair in the comedy series. Blair was dismissed from the series after clashing with Sheen in June. The 10/90 series had been casting for an actress for the part that was originally described as a tough, career-driven and neurotic woman who hates herself for eventually becoming attracted to Charlie.

Following Blair's exit, the series also added former recurring player Brian Austin Green as a new series regular. Green, who guest-starred as Sean, the boyfriend of Jen (Shawnee Smith, who plays Charlie Sheen's character's ex-wife), will reprise his role and be the new male foil to Sheen's Charlie on the comedy.

In addition to Broadway, Bell's credits also include roles on How I Met Your Mother and The CW's Hart of Dixie. She recently signed a record deal with Big Machine Records in Nashville and will release her first country single on Aug. 19. She's currently on tour with Rascal Flatts.

Bundy will begin filming Anger Management this week. She's repped by WME.
