Neal McDonough, DC Comics Villain Split - H 2015

There's a new bad guy in town for Arrow season four.

Neal McDonough has been cast as DC Comics favorite Damien Darhk, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Darhk was referenced a few times last season, with him visiting Starling City in the finale (though he was not seen onscreen). Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) revealed that Darhk was a former member of the League of Assassins who got on Ra's' bad side (and was marked for death by the League).

Warner Bros. TV describes him as mysterious, sophisticated and in charge of his own secret group. The studio promises he will be one of the greatest challenges Arrow has ever faced. In the DC comic books he has strong ties to the supervillain organization HIVE.

McDonough has comic book experience, playing the Marvel Comics favorite "Dum Dum" Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger and reprising the role for an episode of ABC's Agent Carter. He also had a small but memorable role in The Minority Report, working in the Precrime division next to Tom Cruise's John Anderton. Other credits include HBO's Band of Brothers and FX's Justified.

Stay tuned to The Live Feed for more from Arrow, including the latest from the big DC superhero TV panel a Comic-Con Saturday night.
