FX Productions has inked an exclusive overall deal with Paul Simms. The Atlanta executive producer will stay on at the critically adored comedy, simultaneously developing new TV projects for the studio and FX networks.

“We’ve had a great experience working with Paul on Atlanta,” said FX Nets and FXP president of original programming Nick Grad, who announced the news Wednesday with counterpart Eric Schrier. “Paul has a track record of success and we look forward to him developing new projects for FXP.”

Simms is an exec producer on Atlanta alongside series creator and star Donald Glover. The show was a ratings and critical hit for FX and quickly garnered a slew of key kudos, including two Golden Globes and a Peabody.

No stranger to TV, Simms' sprawling résumé includes The Larry Sanders Show, Flight of the Conchords, Girls and NewsRadio (which he created).

Simms is repped by CAA.
