You might be wondering how long Detective Britten (Jason Isaacs) can keep his dreams intact before those outside of his therapists begin to poke holes in his dual realities. It’s that time on Thursday’s episode of NBC’s Awake.

As it stands, Britten has been able to keep both his son and wife alive in two different realities. But events will begin to threaten the already delicate balance he’s dealing with when his co-workers can no longer ignore his preternatural sixth sense about his cases and his wife wants to make a change of locale to Oregon.

In THR’s sneak peek below, Dr. Lee (BD Wong) tries to get Britten to understand why he’s resisting his wife’s desire to leave Los Angeles.
