'The Bachelorette': 6 Early Clues on What to Expect from JoJo
JoJo Fletcher might have had her heart broken on national TV by last season's Bachelor Ben Higgins, but her first message ahead of The Bachelorette's premiere assured her fans that she's ready to find love again: "Bring on the men!"
The Hollywood Reporter will be covering every step of the 25-year-old Texan's season — sure to be the "most dramatic ever!" — as she dates her way to a televised proposal. In the spirit of being spoiler-free, here's everything to glean from the trailers and sneak peek videos that ABC has launched so far — and wants fans to know before the show kicks off May 23.
1-2. Entrances and first impressions
JoJo's lineup of 26 eligible bachelors are an eclectic group. Among the men are former pro quarterback Jordan Rodgers (brother to Green Bay Packers’ quarterback and Olivia Munn boyfriend Aaron Rodgers), a "hipster" from Los Angeles, an erectile dysfunction specialist from Nashville and a guy named James, who is described only as a "Bachelor superfan" in his ABC bio. In typical over-the-top introductory fashion, early promos and information reveal that JoJo gets serenaded by contestant James Taylor and R&B group All-4-One, thanks to DJ Wells. Nick B. arrives in a full-on Santa suit while Luke trades in his limo ride for a "unicorn" — a nod to JoJo telling Ben that she was "looking for her unicorn" and making her entrance with one on her head — and Vinny the barber stumbles through his first night. Amid the charades — which includes Daniel going shirtless — one suitor does make a good enough impression to land a first kiss, according to ABC.

3. The early villain
Chad, 28, first alerted fans to his potential villain status when ABC launched his bio page. When asked about his greatest achievement to date, the 6-foot-2 luxury real estate agent says, "Being born good looking." His reply for who he admires most in the world? "Myself in 10 years, alright, alright, alright." As illustrated in the clip below, Chad wastes no time letting his cocky-flag fly, introducing himself to the camera as "the manlier, more rugged version of Ben... He's just a soft, supple, smooth, friendly guy." In another clip, JoJo is seen telling an anonymous suitor, "I don't like this side to you."

4-6. One-on-one dates, heartbreak and a Bachelor returns
Also on the first night, JoJo gets surprised by a familiar face when a mystery "former Bachelor" steps out of the limo and "lures the stunned Bachelorette" away from the rest of the men, according to ABC. Whether or not he sticks around beyond the first night remains to be seen, but clips taken from the rest of the season show that JoJo is in for at least one heartbreak: "She could be in danger," Robby, 27, tells a fellow contestant, before JoJo is shown in tears saying, "I was in love with him, I was going to spend my life with him ... why is this happening?" James Taylor, U.S. marine Alex, Robby and Chase can also be spotted on one-on-one dates.
