CBS is expanding its relationship with Kevin Sussman.

The Big Bang Theory series regular has sold a comedy script to CBS, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. It's called Wife of Crime.

Sussman will pen the script for the multicamera comedy about a straitlaced guy from Staten Island who marries into an Italian family with ties to the mob and finds himself drawn to the warmth of his new crime family.

Sussman, who was promoted to series regular ahead of Big Bang Theory's sixth season, will co-executive produce the comedy for CBS Television Studios.

Neil Moritz and Vivian Cannon will executive produce via their Original Film banner's overall deal with the studio. The comedy marks the duo's first sale of the season. The duo's most recent TV credits include NBC's Save Me and Showtime's The Big C. On the feature side, Moritz is attached to Sony's I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot. His big-screen credits also include the Fast & Furious franchise as well as 21 Jump Street and I Am Legend.

Wife of Crime marks the latest behind-the-scenes TV foray for Sussman. He previously teamed with Big Bang Theory recurring player John Ross Bowie for a semi-autobiographical comedy based on the latter's life. Two years ago, the duo also teamed for a comedy at Fox that did not move forward.

Sussman is repped by APA, Group Entertainment and Bruce Gellman. Moritz is with WME.
