'Fargo' Favorite Boards 'Underground' Season 2
Fargo season two breakout Bokeem Woodbine is going back in time for his next role.
The Emmy-nominated actor will recur on the upcoming second season of WGN America's Underground, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Woodbine will play Daniel, a skilled stonemason who has decided to take freedom into his own hands.
The actor is one of several new additions for season two, including Aisha Hinds as Harriet Tubman, series executive producer John Legend as Frederick Douglass, Jasika Nicole (Fringe) and DeWanda Wise (Shots Fired), among others.
Season two of Underground centers on the aftermath of the Macon 7’s daring attempt to stage the greatest escape in history as this group of American heroes continues on their harrowing journey to freedom.
Underground ranks as WGNA's most-watched original scripted series. Produced by Tribune Studios and Sony Pictures Television, the drama, created by Misha Green and Joe Pokaski, is set to return March 8.
Woodbine, whose other credits include Total Recall, Riddick and Southland, will next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which also hails from Sony. He is repped by Gersh and Jackoway Tyerman.
