Brannon Braga is staying with 20th Century Fox Television.

The prolific producer has inked a new two-year overall deal with his longtime studio, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Under the new pact, Braga — who serves as showrunner on WGN America’s Salem — will develop new projects for the studio.

“I’ve known Brannon for a long time, and he’s had a long and fantastic history with the Fox TV Group, going all the way back to 24. In all of that time, I’ve never seen him do better work,” Fox 21 president Bert Salke said. “He’s created a signature franchise for both Fox 21 and WGN in Salem, which is classic Brannon — brilliant storytelling, vivid characters and completely original. This deal keeps him on that important show as well as allows him to develop other hits for both cable and broadcast. We’re thrilled to be extending our relationship.”

Braga recently earned an Emmy nomination for his work as executive producer and director on Fox’s Cosmos and is currently in production on season two of Salem. His credits also include Fox’s big-budget drama Terra Nova, FlashForward, 24, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He’s repped by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.

Braga joins drama producers at the studio including Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Howard Gordon, Hart Hanson, Kurt Sutter, Manny Coto and more.
