Bravo wants more nights with Kathy Griffin.

The NBCUniversal-owned cable network on Thursday renewed the comedian's primetime talk show Kathy for a second season. Each episode features Griffin and a panel of celebrities addressing the week's most-talked-about moments and has included guests like Sharon Osbourne, Chelsea Handler, Whitney Cummings and Jimmy Kimmel.

"Bravo's relationship with Kathy Griffin has outlasted Katie and Tom's, Ashton and Demi's and while we won't be couch jumping, we continue to be in awe of her quick wit, rude humor and spot-on analysis of pop culture and celebrity happenings,” said Frances Berwick, president Bravo Media Style. “The first season of Kathy struck a chord with our educated, upscale viewers with its fresh new approach to not-letting-anyone-get-away with-anything TV.”

Bravo's late-night entry with Kathy comes as other networks continue to bulk up their talk-show efforts, with the network recently expanding Andy Cohen's weekly entry to five nights.

"Look, I don't know what the hell's gonna happen in Season 2 of Kathy, I'm still sore from Season 1,” Griffin said in a statement. "It's kind of like 'not Martha Stewart' meets 'Not at all Ellen' meets a lot of negative energy. Last season I had every one on my couch from Jane Fonda to Chelsea Handler to Anderson Cooper to my dog walker. Just sit back and laugh. I'll do all the embarrassing stuff … oh, and I'm nominated for an Emmy!"

Griffin's comedy special, Kathy Griffin: Tired Hooker, was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding variety special last week.

Season 1 of Kathy, which aired Thursdays at 10 p.m., ended its 12-episode run in early July. The series is produced by Donut Run and Embassy Row for Bravo with Griffin and Michael Davies serving as executive producers. The renewal extends Bravo's relationship with Griffin after teaming on My Life on the D-List for six seasons.

Griffin's stand-up special, Kathy Griffin: Seaman 1st Class, will premiere July 26 at 10 p.m.
