Bravo Launches New Facebook Game for Fans, 'Turtle Time': Meet Its Star (Exclusive Video)

Bravo will be introducing a new mascot to the Watch What Happens Live Bravo clubhouse on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 11 p.m. She’s the star of their new Facebook game, Turtle Time —inspired by the phrase The Real Housewives of New York’s Ramona Singer coined.

"We found the perfect new bravolebrity - she is cute and doesn't talk back! I am thrilled to have a permanent resident with me in the Bravo clubhouse,” Watch What Happens Live host and Bravo's EVP of Original ProgrammingAndy Cohen, tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Turtle Time marks the first time the results of a Facebook game will be announced on-air each week. Every Monday, fans get to dress a virtual version of the Watch What Happens: Live turtle and design her tank. It then goes into a competition with all of that week’s designs. And each week, the turtle with the most votes gets re-created on-air. Plus at the end of the season in December, Cohen will choose the top turtle of the season and its winning designer will be flown to New York to attend a taping of Watch What Happens: Live and an exclusive meet-and-greet with the turtle.

“The guests on Watch What Happens: Live dress to impress, so the bar is high for the fans to dress our turtle so she is runway ready too!” says Cohen. “Watch what happens: Live is a natural fit for this game because we are all about fan participation, and this takes it to a totally new level.”

Oh, and don’t worry about the turtle’s safety. Not only will Cohen protect the new mascot as if she was his favorite bottle of bourbon, but also a certified Animal Safety Monitor from the American Humane Association will monitor the turtle’s well-being during production.
