Who's behind that catchy jingle for Better Call Saul? A day after AMC released a music video for the Bob Odenkirk-led series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Breaking Bad composer Dave Porter — responsible for the song's music with Adam Dornblum — will be scoring the spinoff.

Porter's first to-do item for the February 2015 series was to work on the hysterical tune, which aired at the end of the network's Breaking Bad binge marathon. It is performed by country singer Junior Brown, with lyrics by series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

"Dave Porter is an irreplaceable member of the Breaking Bad family, and we’re thrilled to have him aboard Better Call Saul," said Gilligan. "He gets right to the heart of every scene, writing a score that resonates perfectly with the story. I can’t imagine doing our new show without him."

Porter scored all 62 episodes of Breaking Bad, created its theme song and released two volumes of his score through Madison Gate Records. In June 2014, Porter was a winner of the inaugural ASCAP Composer’s Choice Award for Best TV Composer for his work on Breaking Bad and NBC's The Blacklist.

Porter is represented by Maria Machado of The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency.
