Fox's Liz Meriwether comedy Thin Ice has found its leading lady.

Good Luck Charlie and Undateable grad Bridgit Mendler has been tapped to topline the single-camera comedy from the New Girl creator, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Additionally, The Wire alum Isiah Whitlock also has boarded the project.

Thin Ice centers on a woman, Lou (Mendler) who reclaims her dreams when she finds herself at the end of the Earth — in Antarctica — surrounded by a group of brilliant misfits.

Lou is described as messy and directionless and a receptionist at the National Science Foundation in Virginia. Not giving up on her dreams so easily, she jumps at the chance to go to Antarctica for a new job that may reignite her passion for science.

Whitlock, meanwhile, will co-star as Bill, a geologist in the research team in Antarctica who is a little intimidating and has no patience for idiots.

Mendler, repped by Gersh and attorneys Patti Felker and Chris Abramson, starred in 100 episodes of Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie before moving on to NBC's Bill Lawrence comedy Undateable in a role that was created specifically for her.

Whitlock, repped by Liebman Entertainment, CornerStone and Schreck Rose, most recently recurred on Veep and next will be seen in Spike's The Mist.

Thin Ice will be written by Meriwether, Ed Macdonald and Mark Grimmer. Meriwether executive produces alongside Katherine Pope, with James Ponsoldt set to direct the pilot for 20th Century Fox Television.
