'The Catch' EP Extends Overall Deal at ABC Studios (Exclusive)

ABC Studios is keeping Julie Anne Robinson in house.

Robinson and her Canny Lads production banner has extended their overall deal with the studio for another two years, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Golden Globe-nominated director and BAFTA winner identified ABC's The Catch — the buzzy pilot starring Mireille Enos and produced by Shondaland — and connected exec producers Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and writer Jennifer Schuur to the drama. The Catch, which she directed and exec produces,is considered one of ABC's best bests to go to series.

In addition, Robinson set up a limited series based on Little Women and starring Natascha McElhone at ABC.

Robinson, who previously had a one-year deal with the studio, counts Selfie, The Middle, How to Live With Your Parents, Manhattan, Orange Is the New Black, Nurse Jackie, Scandal, Suburgatory, Grey's Anatomy and more among her credits. On the British side, her credits include BAFTA-nominated TV movie Coming Down the Mountain. Her feature work includes directing The Last Song and One For the Money.
