CBS' Comedy Key Art: Nudity, Speedos and a Missing Sarah Michelle Gellar (Photos)
CBS has released the official key art for its fall comedies, offering a further preview of what to expect from half-hours starring Robin Williams, Tony Shalhoub, Will Arnett and Anna Faris.
The Crazy Ones features Robin Williams' ad executive doing his best to come up with bright ideas for his beleaguered firm. Only there's one thing conspicuously absent from the poster: co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar, a fan favorite from her Buffy the Vampire Slayer days.
The comedy from David E. Kelley marks Williams' return to the small screen more than 30 years after he rose to fame as part of Mork and Mindy. The series will be part of CBS' expanded Thursday comedy block and will premiere Sept. 26 at 9 p.m.
Will Arnett follows NBC's Up All Night with another family comedy as part of CBS' Thursday lineup with The Millers, in which he stars as a recently divorced news reporter whose second attempt at dating is foiled when his parents (Margo Martindale and Beau Bridges) move in with him. The series premieres Sept. 26 at 8:30 p.m
Rookie We Are Men's art features Shalhoub with Jerry O'Connell, Chris Smith and Kal Penn in board shorts and speedos taking the leap back into the dating game as the comedy about four guys living in a short-term apartment complex. The series debuts Sept. 30 at 8:30 p.m.
Finally, Chuck Lorre adds a fourth show to his crowded plate with Mom, a comedy starring Anna Faris as a newly sober single mom raising two children and dealing with her estranged mother (Allison Janney), who suddenly re-enters her life. The comedy joins the network's Monday lineup at 9:30 p.m. starting Sept. 23.
