CBS is doubling down on unscripted programming with its midseason schedule.

The network on Tuesday announced that two new unscripted series — The World's Best and Million Dollar Mile — would join a midseason roster that includes returning favorites Survivor, The Amazing Race and Celebrity Big Brother. The push mirrors last year's schedule in which CBS unspooled Celebrity Big Brother as counterprogramming against coverage of the Winter Olympics on NBC.

CBS will use the Super Bowl to launch World's Best, Survivor to promote Million Dollar Mile and Celebrity Big Brother to promote both rookies.

Julie Chen Moonves will officially return as host of Celebrity Big Brother, which will bow Monday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m., before moving to multiple nights over three weeks ahead of its two-hour finale Wednesday, Feb. 13.

As previously announced, the James Corden-hosted global talent show World's Best landed TV's most-coveted time slot and will air immediately after the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 3. The series — featuring judges Drew Barrymore, Faith Hill and RuPaul Charles — moves to Wednesdays starting Feb. 6.

The week after Celebrity Big Brother wraps, CBS will launch the 38th season of Jeff Probst-hosted hit Survivor. After World's Best wraps Wednesday, March 27, CBS will use that series as a lead-in for its LeBron James-produced and Tim Tebow-hosted obstacle course entry Million Dollar Mile.

The Amazing Race returns for its 31st season Wednesday, May 22, at 8 p.m.

CBS still has a deep bench of scripted series including Elementary, Instinct, Life in Pieces, Man With a Plan, rookies The Code, The Red Line and comedy Fam. Scheduling for CBS' scripted midseason roster is expected to be announced at a later date. The current CBS midseason schedule is below.
