TV Ratings: 'Chicago Fire' and 'Star' Fall Finales Grow
Chicago Fire's rebound season continued Wednesday with its fall finale, which was up year to year. Fox's Star, meanwhile, hit a five-episode high.
All three of NBC's Chicago shows led their hour in total viewers, and Fire (1.2 rating among adults 18-49) and P.D. (1.1) also topped their slots in the demo. Chicago Fire is off slightly from its last episode three weeks ago but ahead of the comparable episode last year by 0.2 in adults 18-49 and 2 million viewers (7.91 million vs. 5.88 million). Chicago Med (1.2) was steady.
Star scored a 1.2 with its last episode of 2018, its best outing since Oct. 17. Empire's fall finale came in at 1.5, in line with the show's season average.
CBS' Survivor (1.5), SEAL Team (0.8) and Criminal Minds (0.7) all came down a little from a week ago but were in line with their season averages so far. ABC's The Goldbergs (1.2) and Modern Family (1.3) were likewise steady, but American Housewife (0.9), Single Parents (0.8) and A Million Little Things (0.7) all came down a tenth of a point each compared with a week ago.
Riverdale held at 0.4 on The CW, and All American drew a 0.2.
Fox's 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo narrowly led the night over NBC's 1.2. ABC scored a 1.0 for third place, ahead of CBS' 0.9. The CW trailed with a 0.3.
