Episodes star John Pankow has booked his next gig.

The actor is set to guest-star on Chicago P.D. He will play Judge Wells, who attended the Police Academy with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) way back when and for whom Voight has great respect. A respected judge across the city, he remains calm and well-spoken even in the face of crisis. When a nationwide epidemic hits close to home in Chicago, and specifically close to Judge Wells' home, Voight promises him they will do everything possible to right this wrong.

He is set to appear in the fall finale of P.D., airing Nov. 29.

The role comes weeks after Episodes ended its five-season run on Showtime. The guest-star gig brings him back to NBC, where he starred on Mad About You for seven seasons. Pankow, whose other credits include Bride Wars and Morning Glory, is repped by Gersh and Industry Entertainment.

Pankow joins a list of season five guest stars including Wendell Pierce, Anabelle Acosta and Mykelti Williamson.

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
