Ed alum Josh Randall has joined the cast of Cinemax's new drama series Quarry in a recurring role, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Quarry follows a Marine sniper (Prometheus' Logan Marshall-Green) who returns home from the Vietnam War in 1973 to find out that he has been shunned by those he loves and publicly demonized. Combat-hardened and disillusioned, he's recruited into a network of contract killers and corruption spanning the length of the Mississippi River.

Randall will play Detective Tommy Olsen, who is investigating one of the murders.

Jodi Balfour, Peter Mullan, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Damon Herriman, Jamie Hector, Edoardo Ballerini and Skipp Sudduth also star in the series, which is based on the books by Max Allan Collins.

Quarry hails from creators Michael D. Fuller and Graham Gordy, who will exec produce with Steve Golin, Matt DeRoss, David Kanter, Ken Levin, Greg Yaitanes and Collins. Yaitanes, who is also the showrunner on Cinemax's Banshee, will direct all eight episodes of the drama, which received a series order in February.

Randall's credits also include Criminal Minds, Pushing Daisies and Scrubs. He is repped by Paradigm and Insight.
