Although The Seventies won’t premiere until June, The Sixties bowed to strong numbers for CNN in 2014 and earned two Emmy nominations.

Much like the previous editions, each hourlong episode will explore the individuals and events that shaped the decade. In addition to Playtone, The Eighties also hails from Mark Herzog’s Herzog & Company, and HBO.

Additionally, CNN has picked up new seasons of The Wonder List With Bill Weir and This Is Life With Lisa Ling for 2016 as part of the network’s overall push for more original series programming.
