Comedian Chris Distefano has signed an exclusive overall deal at Comedy Central, extending his relationship with the cable network.

The deal will have Distefano create and develop content across platforms and encompasses a number of projects already in the works, including a new one-hour stand-up special, an animated series, an unscripted show and the continuation of Stupid Questions With Chris Distefano, an interstitial series that runs Friday nights.

Distefano (IFC's Benders, Netflix's Ultimate Beastmaster) is already at work on a weekly podcast for Comedy Central (which was ordered straight to series) and will be featured in a stand-up special, Chris Distefano: Size 38 Waist, debuting Jan. 18.

"Chris strikes the perfect balance of Brooklyn-born edge and nice-guy charm," said Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, executive vps and co-heads of talent and development at Comedy Central. "He's razor-sharp, magnetic and relatable — key to success on all platforms — so we couldn't be more excited to enter into this deal with him."

Added Distefano, "I couldn't be happier and more excited to be working with Comedy Central! They are truly like family to me. I am honored at the opportunity they've given me and I can't wait to bring these new projects to life!"

Distefano's deal follows recent pacts Comedy Central has signed with fellow stand-ups Bill Burr and Anthony Jeselnik

Details about projects in development under the overall deal will be announced later. Distefano is repped by Authentic, UTA and Cohen Gardner.
