Comic-Con: HBO Releases First-Look Photos at 'Westworld'

The series' teaser trailer debuted during CBS' 'Person of Interest' panel.

HBO is providing its first glimpse into the world of Westworld.

The forthcoming drama series' first teaser trailer debuted at Comic-Con on Saturday during the panel for CBS' Person of Interest, with HBO releasing images from the series on Twitter. Jonathan Nolan, who created Person of Interest, co-created Westworld with Lisa Joy and directed the pilot.

"Bring her back online," says an ominous character in voiceover at the start of the trailer. "Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality?"

Anthony Hopkins' character is shown briefly in the footage, as are snippets that feature an Old West setting. The series also stars Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright and Thandie Newton.

The drama, about a futuristic theme park, is based on Michael Crichton's 1973 film. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk's Warner Bros. Television-based Bad Robot Productions is behind the project, and the pair is executive producing with Nolan and Joy. The late Jerry Weintraub is also credited as an executive producer.

Westworld premieres on HBO in 2016. The trailer has not yet been released.
