To say it's challenging to cut through the clutter of a scripted landscape that features more than 400 original shows is an understatement. And FX's genre drama The Strain is well aware of the choices viewers have today — and is doing something to grab their attention.

FX on Thursday unveiled a hilarious rap video featuring stars Kevin Durand, Miguel Gomez and David Bradley as well as exec producer/showrunner Carlton Cuse.

Titled "Vamps Boom," Durand and Gomez wrote the lyrics with Bradley's rap penned by Regina Corrado. The video was directed by J. Miles Dale and produced by Cory Bird and Liz Phang and serves as a refresher on the returning Guillermo del Toro/Cuse drama.

If that's not a way to cut through and grab viewers' attention in a crowded landscape, we're not sure what is. Watch the video, below. Season three of The Strain premieres Sunday, Aug. 28 at 10 p.m. on FX.
