Examines what happens when a deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta and a large city quarantine is quickly enforced, leaving those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives. Tells the story of loved ones tragically torn apart, and how the society that grows inside the cordon reveals both the devolution of humanity and the birth of unlikely heroes. Based on the original Belgian series created by Carl Joos.

The CW on Thursday formalized its midseason and revealed some of its season-finale dates.

Included in the schedule are premiere dates for Julie Plec's Containment, which is now being billed as a "limited series," as well as the final season of Beauty and the Beast and the return of Reign.

Containment will have a short order of episodes, but the network is leaving the door open for a second season. It is set to premiere Tuesday, April 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, scoring the prime post-The Flash time slot currently occupied by iZombie. The latter series will wrap up its sophomore run with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, April 12, starting at 8 p.m.

Reign will return with original episodes on Monday, April 25, at 8 p.m. as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will wrap up its freshman season on Monday, April 18, at 8 p.m.

The summer will see the final season of Beauty and the Beast kick off on Thursday, June 2, at 9 p.m.
