'Dancing With the Stars': Alfonso Ribeiro Announces Wife Expectant With Second Child

The 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' veteran revealed the happy news at the end of his rumba

It was a bittersweet evening for two celebrity fathers on Monday’s Dancing With the Stars’ Halloween night.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who took home a 36/40 for his rumba with professional partner Witney Carson, announced at the conclusion of his dance — and on son Alfonso “AJ” Ribeiro Jr.’s first birthday —that he and wife Angela Unkrich are expecting a second child.

“It was a great day. I think we did a great job with the routine. Best coach in the world. [Witney’s] really gotten me along. She just slowly, through the week, finds all the right things to say to get me there and we get there every week,” Ribeiro told The Hollywood Reporter. “We couldn’t hold [the pregnancy] any longer. [Angela’s] all out here. It was really cool that Dancing With the Stars let me announce it tonight on air. It’s something that I wanted to say here. It’s so close to us now that to be able to announce it was very cool.”

The expectant father did not reveal how far along Unkrich’s pregnancy is, only disclosing, “She’s a ways. ... We’re not giving the date, obviously, because people start doing the math, but we’re definitely along. We’re moving, so things are coming quickly.”

Unfortunately for father of three Antonio Sabato Jr. and partner Cheryl Burke, the evening concluded with the actor-model being eliminated. Week six was an emotional ride for the pair as Burke’s father suffered a stroke, but strengthened the duo as a team: “Antonio has been my rock this whole week and at the end of the day, you just have to keep moving on. It’s just unfortunate that my father doesn’t live here … it’s difficult. We have a difficult history,” Burke said. Still, though the emotional roller coaster drew the two closer as teammates, their 27/40 Viennese waltz, coupled with their “Team Creepy” group performance, wasn't strong enough to save them from elimination.

Undefeated group dance choreographer Derek Hough racked up another accolade for "Team Itsy Bitsy’s" win, which included Bethany Mota and Hough, Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvinstev, Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, and Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater. The pro extended positive advice to eliminated celebrities: “It’s tough to go home, but it’s one of those things where you always have to celebrate with the time you have on the show and that you have here.”

Now that Sabato Jr. has more time on his hands, he is gearing up for costumes, sweets and Halloween on Friday: “I’ve got kids, so trick or treating, candy and having dinners together as a family is important to us. … I have fun with my kids. I’m going to be dressed up.”

Tune in next Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC for week eight’s elimination.
