Netflix's Dear White People has lined up several prominent names as guest stars for its forthcoming third season.

Blair Underwood, Yvette Nicole Brown, Laverne Cox and Flavor Flav will all have roles in season three, which debuts Aug. 2. Series creator Justin Simien will also have an onscreen role.

Details about their roles are being kept quiet at the moment as Netflix ramps up its promo campaign for the series.

Dear White People will be Underwood's third project with Netflix in recent months. He has a role in the streamer's limited series When They See Us — which earned 16 Emmy nominations Tuesday — and starred with Alfre Woodard in the feature Juanita.

Former Community star Brown recurs on CBS' Mom and plays Aunt Sarah in the remake of Lady and the Tramp, set to debut on the Disney+ streaming platform later this year. She also wrote and co-stars in indie film Always a Bridesmaid.

Three-time Emmy nominee Cox will have back-to-back debuts on Netflix starting July 26, as the final season of Orange Is the New Black starts a week before Dear White People

Season two of Dear White People ended with Sam (Logan Browning) and Lionel (DeRon Horton) being chosen to join the mysterious Order of X at Winchester University. Netflix has been tight-lipped about what's to come on the show, saying only that it will involve "new characters, new relationships, new secrets."
