Debby Ryan is branching out from the Disney Channel.

The Jessie and Suite Life on Deck alum has closed a deal to star in The CW's pilot Insatiable, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The drama explores what happens when a disgraced and dissatisfied civil lawyer turned beauty pageant coach takes on a vengeful, bullied teenager as his client and has no idea what he’s about to unleash upon the world.

Ryan will star as Patty, the smart, opinionated and vulnerable former fat girl who found solace through eating but, after having her jaw broken, loses 70 pounds and turns out to be gorgeous. The daughter of a beautiful alcoholic who has just gotten her 60-day AA chip, Patty's life takes an unexpected turn when Bob, her lawyer/beauty pageant coach, offers to help her become a professional beauty queen.

For Ryan, Insatiable becomes her latest small-screen role. She next co-stars in VH1's Daytime Divas and counts Sing It among her credits. She is repped by CAA, Industry Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein.

Lauren Gussis (Dexter, Once Upon a Time) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Ryan Seacrest and his Ryan Seacrest Productions topper Nina Wass. Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim also exec produce the CBS Television Studios pilot via their Storied Media Group.
