Discovery Extends 'Diesel Brothers' Order (Exclusive)
Discovery Channel wants more Diesel Brothers.
The cable channel has extended its order for the freshman series, which centers on tricked-out extreme diesel trucks.
The show follows Heavy D, Diesel Dave and the team at Dieselsellerz as they build big, bad trucks, pull elaborate pranks and push the limits with new stunts.
Diesel Brothers launched during Discovery's "Motor Mondays" in January and airs new episodes at 10 p.m. In its first season, the show is pulling more than 2 million viewers per episode and is currently the network's highest-rated new series in adult 25-54 in more than two years.
"Discovery's 'Motor Mondays' continues to be the top destination on cable for unparalleled bold, fun motor action. Our most recent freshman series success, Diesel Brothers, demonstrates the power of Discovery's fueled-up fan base, and we're thrilled to share even more episodes with our viewers," said Denise Contis, executive vp development and production at Discovery.
Diesel Brothers is produced for Discovery by Magilla Entertainment; Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson, Jason Fox and Cristin Cricco-Powell are executive producers.
For Discovery, Craig Coffman is executive producer, Bert Klasey is development producer, Todd Lefkowitz is coordinating producer and Robin Humbert is associate producer.
