Disney Channel Sets 'Further Adventures in Babysitting' TV Movie

Dreams really do come true, especially for actresses on popular Disney Channel television shows.

Girl Meets World's Sabrina Carpenter and Descendants actress Sofia Carson have signed on to star in the TV movie Further Adventures of Babysitting, the network announced Friday.

Additionally, fellow Disney starlets Rowan Blanchard of Girl Meets World and Mighty Med’s Paris Berelc will star in the cable network's TV movie Invisible Sister.

"We know these four young actresses all have the potential for extraordinary careers, and we're excited to give them new opportunities to showcase their talents. We're especially proud of Rowan and Sabrina, as they have helped drive the success of our hit series Girl Meets World,” said Adam Bonnett, executive vp original programming at Disney Channel. “These new movies bring our viewers comedic and heartfelt stories that the entire family can enjoy together, and I'm particularly thrilled to introduce a new take on a personal favorite 'Adventures in Babysitting' to a whole new generation."

Inspired by the 1987 teen film Adventures in Babysitting, Further Adventures in Babysitting tells the story of two teen babysitters who go on an adventure in the city to find the escaped children. John Schultz will direct and Michelle Manning executive produces.

Invisible Sister tells the comedic story of a girl who makes her sister disappear through a science project gone wrong. Paul Hoen will direct with Sheri Singer exec producing.

Both films will start production in spring 2015 and will premiere in fall 2015 and early 2016 on Disney Channels worldwide.
