Sarah Jessica Parker's return to HBO is inching closer.

On Wednesday, the actress posted the first footage from her upcoming series, Divorce, set to premiere on the pay cabler later this year.

Ordered to series in April 2015, Divorce centers on Frances (Parker), a middle-aged woman, who, influenced by her two recently single friends (Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam), impulsively brings up the idea of divorce with her husband (Thomas Haden Church) but then can't decide whether to actually go through with it — until her husband discovers the affair she's been having and calls the marriage off.

In addition to starring, Parker executive produces via her Pretty Matches Productions banner. Sharon Horgan, whose recent U.S. pilots include Fox's Dead Boss as well as ABC's Bad Management and Pulling, penned the script. Aaron Kaplan, Paul Simms (Girls, Bored to Death, Flight of the Conchords) and Pretty Matches president Alison Benson will also executive produce. Horgan is set as showrunner, with Simms as co-showrunner.

The project marks Parker's first series role since Sex and the City wrapped its six-season run on HBO in 2004. The actress won an Emmy for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw, which she later reprised for two feature films.

Divorce is slated to premiere this fall on HBO. Check out the teaser below.
