Elvis Mitchell is hitting the road for Epix.

The premium cable network is teaming with the journalist for Elvis Goes There, a four-part docuseries in which Mitchell travels with A-list filmmakers and actors to places around the word that have inspired them. Each hourlong episode will feature unprecedented access and explore how each location shaped their work and identity.

Filmmakers Paul Feig (Ghostbusters), Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation), Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed) and Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water) are slated to appear in the series, which will reportedly feature actors as well. The series will bow Monday, Feb. 4, at 10 p.m. on Epix.

The series hails from Zero Point Zero Productions, the producers behind Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, with the company's Lydia Tenaglia, Craig H. Shepherd and Toby Oppenheimer exec producing alongside creator Mitchell, Cheri Barner and Wildline's Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory) and his wife and producing partner Jocelyn Towne and Cora Olson.

"This is my dream of a show. It's an origin story — how these artists got to be — set in the places that formed them," Mitchell said. "And it's a show where people get to explain themselves, rather than hustle a new project. I’m thrilled these artists gave me the gift of their time, and thankful to Michael Wright and Rachel Brill at Epix for giving me this platform."

Elvis Goes There becomes the latest big swing since Wright took over as president of the premium cable network. The MGM-owned cabler's programming roster includes scripted originals Get Shorty, Berlin Station, Deep State, Godfather of Harlem, Pennyworth, Our Lady and unscripted entries The Contender, Unprotected Sets and more.

"With Elvis Goes There, Epix will have the incredible opportunity to tell our audience the inspirations behind some of their favorite cinematic experiences,” Wright said. “We’re thrilled to partner with the brilliant Elvis Mitchell and the talented team at Zero Point Zero to unfold these never-before-told stories.”

Zero point Zero counts docuseries including Parts Unknown, The Mind of a Chef, Christiane Amanpour: Sex & Love Around the World and feature docs like Wasted! The Story of Food Waste.

“Our respect for these incredible filmmakers allows us to look deeper into their creative process and see how they influence and are influenced socially, politically, culturally and creatively by cities of inspiration around the world. And there is no better person to bring these ideas forward then Elvis Mitchell,” said Shepherd, vp Zero Point Zero.

Added Helberg: "I’ve always been intrigued and maybe a little obsessed with the stories behind great works of art. But no one is as obsessed with these stories as Elvis Mitchell — so we sent him around the world to bring us back some answers from the most compelling filmmakers of our generation."
