Can Empire Entertainment make it without its fearless leader, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard)?

That's the question facing the rest of the Lyon family when Empire returns. In the new season-two trailer, released Thursday, Andre (Trai Byers) is determined to remove Lucious as CEO of the company, as is his mother, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

But obviously, Lucious isn't going to go down without a fight. "He needs to be handled," he says ominously.

Now that Lucious has left his middle son, Jamal (Jussie Smollett), in charge of the company, Jamal's sibling rivalry with Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) has hit a boiling point. "I'm gonna bury your album," promises Jamal.

And that’s not all. The new footage also features the formal debut of guest-stars Chris Rock and Marisa Tomei — the latter's character wastes no time picking sides in the Lyon family's drama.
