Enlisted star Geoff Stults has set up a contingency plan.

The star of the critically praised but low-rated Fox freshman comedy has been tapped to star in CBS' David Caspe and Erik Sommers comedy pilot Cuz-Bros, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Stults is being credited as a guest star, but the role is in second position to Enlisted, meaning the actor would remain on Enlisted should Fox renew the comedy for a second season.

Cuz-Bros centers on a successful and suave ladies' man whose perfect life is turned upside down when his mess of a cousin needs a place to stay. Stults will star as Nick, an L.A. TV sportscaster who isn't thrilled when his schlubby, sweet cousin, Barry, winds up living with him when he comes to L.A. from Orlando.

Happy Endings' Caspe and Sommers will pen the script and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television multicamera comedy. FanFare's Jamie Tarses is also on board to exec produce alongside How I Met Your Mother's Pam Fryman, who is set to direct.

Meanwhile, Stults' Enlisted foil Angelique Cabral has also booked a pilot -- NBC's Two to Go -- in second position.
