'The Flash's' Dearly Departed Joins ABC's 'Quantico'
ABC's Quantico continues to add to its cast.
The freshman drama starring Bollywood favorite Priyanka Chopra has enlisted The Flash favorite Rick Cosnett, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The drama centers on a group of young FBI recruits training at the Quantico base in Virginia. As the series intercuts between their hidden pasts and their training, it also flashes forward to the near future, when one of the recruits will turn out to be a sleeper terrorist responsible for the most devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Cosnett, whose Eddie was shockingly killed off in the freshman finale of The CW's The Flash, will recur on Quantico as Elias Harper. The character is openly gay and funny and a former defense attorney who used his rhetoric and savvy against FBI cases. Recruited by Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis) as an analyst for his brilliant mind. A debate team type, Elias loves to be right, but also has a soft and kind-hearted side.
Cosnett joins a cast that includes recent additions Josh Hopkins (Cougar Town) — who replaced Dougray Scott as a series regular — as well as recurring player Anabelle Acosta, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Johanna Braddy, Yasmine Al Massri and Jake McLaughlin round out the cast.
Josh Safran (Gossip Girl) penned the script and exec produces alongside Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper, Jake Coburn and Robert Sertner. Marc Munden directed the pilot, which hails from ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co.
ABC recently moved Quantico from Tuesdays at 10 p.m. to Sundays at 10 p.m. after Of Kings and Prophets was pulled from the schedule to be retooled. The drama premieres Sept. 27 on ABC.
Cosnett is repped by Innovative Artists and Untitled Entertainment.
