Fox Renews 'MasterChef' for Season 7


Gordon Ramsay's flagship continues to cook for Fox and will be back for its sixth season. 

Fox is ordering up more MasterChef.

The network has renewed the culinary competition series for a seventh season, it was announced Wednesday.

Veteran judges Graham Elliot and Gordon Ramsay, who also executive produces the series, will return for the new season. Newcomer Christina Tosi, who replaced Joe Bastianich, will also be back. Open casting calls for the new season kick off on Aug. 15 in San Diego.

MasterChef is currently in the middle of its sixth season and has been averaging a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49. In addition to the continued ratings performance of the flagship series, the MasterChef franchise has also been bolstered in recent years by MasterChef Junior. The spinoff was renewed in January for a fourth season, which is expected to return in November. All three MasterChef judges also serve as judges on Junior.

In addition to MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, Ramsay also has Hell's Kitchen on Fox.

Ramsay exec produces with Elisabeth Murdoch, Eden Gaha, Robin Ashbrook, Adeline Ramage Rooney, Patricia Llewellyn and Ben Adler. MasterChef hails from Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato.

MasterChef airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
